3) In your opinion, what is the strength and weakness of this team?

As I alluded to above, the biggest strength of this team is Roethlisberger. Really the only thing holding him back is the idiocy of Todd Haley and the offensive coordinator’s insistence on running the ball on a consistent basis. Haley’s love of personnel packages which incorporate three tight ends, two of which usually have zero pass catching skills to speak of, instead of more explosive pass-catchers like Markus Wheaton or Derek

As far as the biggest weakness is concerned, I would have to say that would be the team’s defense and their penchant for giving up big plays. Whether it has been due to poor tackling, poor execution or simply poor scheme, Pittsburgh’s defense has been burned by big plays all season. Their inability to keep plays in front of them has led to losses against Minnesota, Oakland, Baltimore and Miami, and is a large factor in why they will be staying home this January.
