A year ago, the Green Bay Packers entered the unknown. Could they remain competitive without Aaron Rodgers? Was Jordan Love ready to become the Packers' next franchise quarterback?

The answer was yes. Green Bay overcame a slow start to win six of its final eight games before eliminating the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the playoffs. Love played like an MVP in the second half of the season.

Expectations move up a level in 2024. The Packers showed they can compete with the best teams in the NFC, but can they back it up?

Green Bay begins the season in Brazil with a fascinating matchup versus the Philadelphia Eagles. Matt LaFleur's team faces tough challenges from the Miami Dolphins, San Francisco 49ers, and Houston Texans at Lambeau Field, and the NFC North could be as challenging as we've seen in years.

How many games will the Packers win in year two of the Jordan Love era?

Predicting every game on the Packers schedule 2024

Week 1: Green Bay at Philadelphia (Brazil)

The Eagles should bounce back into NFC contention this season, especially after adding Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean to fix a struggling secondary. It should be a fascinating matchup to kick off the season. This game being played in Brazil takes away Philadelphia's home-field advantage, and considering the Packers' popularity there, it could hand the advantage to Green Bay. Green Bay 24, Philadelphia 23 (1-0)

Week 2: Green Bay vs. Indianapolis

Anthony Richardson returning can help the Colts compete in the AFC South, but the Packers should have no trouble moving the ball in this one. Green Bay 30, Indianapolis 24 (2-0)

Week 3: Green Bay at Tennessee

Green Bay's last trip to Tennessee famously didn't go well, but the result should be a little more favorable this time around. The Titans are rebuilding, and the Packers won't have to worry about Derrick Henry. Green Bay 27, Tennessee 17 (3-0)

Week 4: Green Bay vs. Minnesota

Aaron Jones' return to Lambeau doesn't go as he hoped. Jordan Love dominates, and the Packers pick up a huge win over the rebuilding Vikings. Green Bay 34, Minnesota 17 (4-0)

Week 5: Green Bay at LA Rams

Jeff Hafley's defense will get one of its toughest challenges of the year against a Rams offense featuring Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua, Kyren Williams, and Blake Corum. Although Green Bay should be able to move the ball against a Los Angeles defense without Aaron Donald, Sean McVay finally gets a win over Matt LaFleur. Los Angeles 31, Green Bay 27 (4-1)

Week 6: Green Bay vs. Arizona

The Cardinals should be a lot better than last season, but the Packers are too good at home and pick up an important win. Green Bay 31, Arizona 20 (5-1)

Week 7: Green Bay vs. Houston

You heard it here first: This could be the game of the entire NFL season, with two great offenses led by star quarterbacks going head to head at Lambeau Field. It could go either way, but the Texans edge a classic. The NFL will regret not putting this in primetime. Houston 35, Green Bay 33 (5-2)

Week 8: Green Bay at Jacksonville

The Jaguars are a little underrated after a disappointing end to last season. They improved their defense with the addition of Arik Armstead, and first-round pick Brian Thomas Jr. can make an instant impact as Trevor Lawrence's top target. Although the Packers avoid an early-season trip to Jacksonville with possible high temperatures, this could be a tough road game. Jacksonville 24, Green Bay 21 (5-3)

Week 9: Green Bay vs. Detroit

The tough stretch continues. The Lions were great last season but could be even better in 2024. Both matchups with Detroit have the potential to be classics, but Dan Campbell's team leaves Lambeau with victory for the third straight season. The Packers go into their bye on a three-game losing run. Detroit 27, Green Bay 24 (5-4)

Week 10: BYE

Week 11: Green Bay at Chicago

The Packers are 13-1 in their past 14 trips to Soldier Field. Unfortunately, the great run comes to an end in 2024. Matt LaFleur loses to Chicago for the first time. The Bears have an ascending defense, and their receiving trio of DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, and Rome Odunze will cause problems for every team they face. Just like that, Green Bay's fast start to the season has been wiped out. Chicago 27, Green Bay 23 (5-5)

Week 12: Green Bay vs. San Francisco

The Packers should've beat the 49ers in the NFC Divisional Round. In a rematch at Lambeau Field, Matt LaFleur's team has a point to prove and finds a way to win a close battle between two of the best teams in the conference. A much-needed win that could prove to be a turning point. Green Bay 21, San Francisco 20 (6-5)

Week 13: Green Bay vs. Miami (Thanksgiving)

The Dolphins have a lot of offensive talent, but this game being played at Lambeau is an advantage for Green Bay. Jeff Hafley's defense comes up with a memorable performance. With consistent pressure from the defensive line, Hafley's unit forces three turnovers to give the Packers a statement win. Green Bay 28, Miami 14 (7-5)

Week 14: Green Bay at Detroit (TNF)

Green Bay saved arguably its best performance of last season for a Thanksgiving trip to Detroit. The same happens again. Jordan Love puts in a flawless performance, throwing three touchdown passes and leading the Packers to a crucial divisional victory. Green Bay 31, Detroit 26 (8-5)

Week 15: Green Bay at Seattle (SNF)

While the Packers will likely enter this game as favorites, they have a surprisingly poor record in Seattle, with only one victory since the millennium. In a tough matchup against Mike Macdonald's defense, this feels like a slip-up game. Seattle 24, Green Bay 21 (8-6)

Week 16: Green Bay vs. New Orleans (MNF)

Jordan Love led an 18-point comeback in the fourth quarter against the Saints last season. Fortunately, it's a far more convincing win this time. Green Bay 27, New Orleans 14 (9-6)

Week 17: Green Bay at Minnesota

Jordan Love won in his first career start at U.S. Bank Stadium, but the Packers haven't enjoyed much success in the Vikings' new home. Divisional matchups against Minnesota are never easy, and this could be an Aaron Jones revenge game. Minnesota 27, Green Bay 24 (9-7)

Week 18: Green Bay vs. Chicago

In need of a win to close out the season, the Packers get great news: The Bears are up next! Chicago might be one of the most improved teams in the league with Caleb Williams, but it's not enough to win at Lambeau Field. Green Bay 31, Chicago 21 (10-7)

Final record: 10-7
