The New York Giants, well Eli Manning, would love to forget the 2013 season. Eli was his usual dreadful self shelling out interceptions like they were free candy. He can’t take all the blame however.
His offensive line was horrific and the defense looked uninterested most of the year. With that said, free agency was active on both sides for the Giants. Gone is legend Justin Tuck to Oakland and Linval Joseph to Minnesota.
The Giants were one of the most active teams in free agency trying to rebuild their secondary and offensive line trenches. Geoff Schwartz comes over from Kansas City to help their offensive line upgrade. Walter Thurmond and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie are welcome additions to the secondary giving veteran and championship experience.
Expect Jameel McClain to help out the linebacker unit and be a great tandem when Jon Beason is fully healthy. The NFC East is usually wide open and this is the second year that Eli has missed the playoffs. His usual schedule of making the playoffs would begin this year.
