Week 15: Green Bay Packers

@ Buffalo Bills

The second-to-last road game of the season looks to a simple matchup against a lesser team that should probably end up similar to the previous time these teams met (easy Green Bay victory in a blowout).

If you look realistically at it, however, it may not be as simple as originally thought.

Sure, the Bills have issues, especially on offense. E.J. Manuel is still a young QB who they have no idea on whether or not he’ll be a quality player yet, and that hampers any potential excitement at other slots there.

And on defense, though they should still be good, with players such as Kiko Alonso being out for the year they cannot be expected to reach the anticipated high levels they would have previously.

Make no mistake, however; this defense still has potential to muck up things for the Packers offense. That defensive line has a strong starting core with Marcel Dareus, Mario Williams, and Kyle Williams.

They all are capable of making plays, and given the offensive line issues up in Green Bay this could be an especially tough matchup.

While the Packers could struggle on offense, they will have to make certain they do not on defense to avoid an upset. Manuel may not be a great QB as of yet, but he obviously has talent and is surrounded by talented players.

The RB-combo of C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson will be rough to stop, and the receiving corps has young, skilled players abound. If the run defense has another off day, the Packers are in for a long day.

Expect that while it won’t be the simplest win and plays will end up being made on each end by their Bills counterparts, the Packers will use their overall more talented roster and stronger offensive talent to take this matchup.
