Week 17: Green Bay Packers

vs. Detroit Lions

The final game of the year, and one that could decide a lot. We could be looking at anything from a division-deciding game to one with little meaning beyond stat-padding.

In any case it should be a compelling matchup again.

Suh and Co. on the Detroit D-Line will be working on causing their usual havoc, with the linebackers expected to make their quick plays underneath and the secondary hoped to just survive.

The Packers D will like-wise be expecting about the same thing as always; hold down Stafford and make him go anywhere but to Calvin Johnson with the ball.

Detroit has not won in Green Bay since 1991.

That was before I was even a year old. Until it actually happens, I cannot see this fact changing and won’t bet against the Packers continuing the streak.

Behind a field-day performance by Rodgers against that weak secondary, the Packers do just that to end the year on a high note.
