Referee Ed Hochuli is probably the best well-known of all referees in the NFL because he’s been around for many years and because he helped break the mold of the “fat” referee.

Greeted like a rock star from fans, Hochuli didn’t mind the attention … waving to fans and even stopping to talk briefly with a few when he came on the field.
