WRs – Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, Davante Adams

Last Week:
Nelson – 2 catches, 53 receiving yards, 1 TD; 11.30 fantasy points
Cobb – 7 catches, 85 receiving yards, 2 rushes, 8 rush yards; 9.30 fantasy points
Adams – 6 catches, 121 receiving yards; 12.10 fantasy points

In last week’s fantasy profile, I predicted that Nelson and Cobb would be seeing a lot of the Revis/Browner+Safety attention all game. I believed that would force Green Bay to look elsewhere for production most of the day to win, and I couldn’t have been more correct.

Davante Adams broke out in a big way, tieing for the team lead in targets (11) while grabbing 6 catches for a career-best 121 yards. It would have been even better had he held onto a sure touchdown catch late, but even without that his day was easily a success.

Even though they were the focus of the defense, Rodgers still found ways to get Nelson and Cobb the ball enough to have major impacts on the game too. Nelson took a short inside pass for 45 yards across the field for a TD before the half, while Cobb tied Adams for the team lead in targets (11) and led them in catches (7) — including a decisive third-down catch to seal the game.

This week, the matchup will be much more agreeable for the two top options in the passing game. The Falcons do have a decent young corner in Desmond Trufant, but nobody on the level of what they just faced. The Falcons also don’t have the level of coaching ability for their defense either, and that will show again here against this wrecking crew of a receiving corps.

Predictions:
Nelson – 5 catches, 110 receiving yards, 1 TD; 18.00 fantasy points
Cobb – 7 catches, 120 receiving yards, 1 TD; 19.00 fantasy points
Adams – 3 catches, 50 receiving yards; 5.00 fantasy points

Verdicts: Must-Start (Nelson/Cobb); Startable (Adams)
