Defense: Win the Line

For the second or third time this season, we can say that the defense actually played well enough to win a game without the offense.

If Aaron Rodgers and Co. could have put one more touchdown on the board, we would have spent all week praising the defense for returning the favor from the offense against Atlanta.

However, the pieces fell otherwise and the defense was rewarding for giving up only field goals all day long – with an L in the win/loss column.

Tampa is not going to lay down and play dead against the Packers.

The defense should not overlook the likes of rookie Mike Evans, who has a Julio Jones role in that Buccaneer offense. Though he currently resides on my fantasy team, I would really rather the defense come away with another decisive victory on that side of the ball.

Coming back against Megatron and Golden Tate at Lambeau in week 17 will not be easy, and the defense needs to carry over their momentum from Buffalo, through Tampa and right back on home.
