Another player the Packers may seriously consider in the first round is Washington nose tackle Danny Shelton, especially if they let B.J. Raji walk in free agency after this offseason.

Shelton has unique quickness and explosiveness off the line for a man his size. He can two-gap and run stuff with the best of them, but like a younger Raji, he also provides some interior pass rush.

The Packers are missing some size on their defensive line. Free agent acquisition Letroy Guion has been a good addition and should be back for another season, but the Packers still need to add another player with considerable size who can hold up well against the run.

Shelton could be the Packers’ next step in improving their 23rd-rank run defense.
