The Detroit Lions’ dominant defense starts up front with a strong defensive line. With Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley both hitting free agency, it seems unlikely that both will return. In that case, picking Iowa’s Carl Davis makes sense. Davis is a powerful run-stopper, and is developing as a pass rusher. He needs to work on his pass-rush production, but he has the talent to make the improvements in the Lions’ defense. Should Suh remain and Fairley walk, he will be lining up with one of the best in the business, and that will help him get straight to work and dominate.. DT. Iowa. Carl Davis. 23. player. 50
