Kevin Johnson would need some development

If Johnson is available when the Packers are on the clock in the first round, they may be wise to pick him up. Cornerbacks are becoming an increasingly important position in the NFL as the league becomes more pass-happy, and Dom Capers’ defense cries out for talented corners.

With the loss of Davon House and Williams possibly joining him, the Packers will need to find replacements.

As it stands, Sam Shields will be the projected starter possibly with Casey Hayward. Behind them, it is thin. Demetri Goodson could feature more in 2015, but it’s difficult to imagine the Packers won’t address the position early in the draft.

If Ted Thompson opts for a cornerback in the first round, Johnson would be a fantastic pick-up and has the potential to succeed in the Packers defense.
