Johnson has been a name frequently mentioned by analysts when it comes to fits for the Packers in the first round.

He’s a player who’s been gaining momentum during the predraft process with strong pro day and NFL Combine performances.

The former Wake Forest defensive back has decent speed (4.52), plays with great technique, and moves fluidly in space.

He hits the entire checklist of what teams look for in an NFL cornerback.

NFL.com‘s Lane Zierlen compares Johnson to Sam Shields and believes the 6-foot, 188-pound cornerback has top cover skills and could start immediately for whatever club drafts him this spring.

Johnson may be a bit lighter than what’s ideal at the position, but he’s still very physical on the field and will battle all game with receivers. He recorded a whopping 33 pass breakups as a three-year starter at Wake Forest.

He’s also not afraid to deliver a big hit or mix it up against the run and is decent tackler in the open field.

The All-ACC corner plays with a swagger and does not back down from any matchup on the field–desirable traits for a player Green Bay would expect to develop into a top cover corner and go against the likes of Calvin Johnson and Alshon Jeffries on Sundays.
