Phillips may not offer much as a pass rusher, but he is one of the better run stuffers in this year’s class.

Because he doesn’t boast a complete game and is still relatively young and raw, Phillips is a tough one to project in the draft. Some like him at the end of the first round for the Packers, while others see him more as a late second round player.
Phillips has the massive size (6-5, 330) and athletic ability you look for in a nose tackle prospect, and many have already compared him to the likes of Vince Wilfork.
In my opinion, Phillips has a ways to go before the Wilfork comparisons ring true. He’s almost a complete upside pick and on film still shows plenty of signs of needing to grow and mature as a player.
He could be a great player some day, but I wouldn’t expect him to make an immediate impact as a rookie.
Still, having said this, Phillips offers a lot as a two-gap defensive lineman that can hold his own against the run.
