Green Bay Packers: Randall Cobb, Davante Adams and more …
By Doug Rogalla
Maybe the catch of the year?
I have to admit this catch and run by Davante Adams last year against the Dallas Cowboys might have been the Play of the Year.
Here are a couple tidbits from Jason Wilde, ESPN Wisconsin Blog.
The Packers’ annual Family Night event will be held on Saturday night, Aug. 8.
Julius Peppers is looking forward and ahead to next season. “We’re looking forward. Nobody’s looking back,” Peppers said after Tuesday’s fourth OTA practice. “We’re already past that. It’s a new season. We have new opportunities this year, and we’re looking forward to this season. There’s nothing else to do but to win.”
On Ty Montgomery missing OTAs.
“I have the feeling working with Ty for three days during the rookie camp that it won’t hurt him as much as it might others,” Van Pelt said. “He was very, very impressive with his ability to retain information and he’s had the similar verbiage in his system. So I think that alone will help him translate and transition into our offense.
“There were some [Xs and Os] things he did on the board –it was very, very, very impressive. Like, freaky.”
