Last Week: 4/4 FGs (18, 21, 44, 54), 1/1 PATs; 16.00 fantasy points

Another week, another good day for Mason Crosby.

He got a handful of opportunities to kick in this game — something that I thought could happen, given the Seattle defense being a strong unit capable of slowing drives at any point on the field. What’s best is he made them all!

Even better for him, he became the Packers’ franchise leader in points, surpassing Ryan Longwell.

As I’ve stated before, Crosby is the closest thing to a sure thing as a fantasy kicker: he has proven over multiple years to be a reliable option and he’s attached to a powerful offense. His value goes up even more against good defensive teams too, since they have the potential to slow a few drives before the offense can capitalize with touchdowns.

That part is important again this week.

As mentioned earlier, Kansas City has the #3 Run Defense DVOA as well as the #11 Pass Defense DVOA. Those are strong ratings, and this team has plenty of talent on all levels to match up against the different aspects of the Packers offense.

While I think Green Bay can and will do well on offense in this matchup, I do see them stopping a few drives short here and there.

That’s where Crosby will get the chance to strike. Based on his past performances, we can expect he won’t disappoint.

Week 3 Prediction: 3/3 FG (2 30-39 yards, 1 50+ yards), 3 PATs; 14.00 Fantasy Points
Verdict: Start Without Hesitation
