K – Mason Crosby

Last Week: 1/1 FG (35), 3/3 PATs; 6.00 fantasy points

Not much to talk about with Crosby, as usual.

After missing his first kick of the year against San Francisco, Mason Crosby made both of his field goal attempts here, as well as his three extra point attempts. Too bad for him — and his fantasy owners — that one of those two field goals was wiped out due to a Richard Rodgers penalty, but that wasn’t his fault.

In a year where it seems like many kickers are flailing and the consistency has disappeared from the position (it hasn’t — percentages for field goal conversions are practically the same this year as 2014 — but the narrative is definitely being paraded around shamelessly), Crosby remains one of the reliable guys on a week-to-week basis.

His fantasy owners would probably enjoy seeing him show off his efficiency a few more times a week, but again, that isn’t in his hands.

All he can do is make the kicks he’s given (and hope they don’t get wiped off the board). If the offense performs like I expect it to, he should be able to better reward the patience of those who have him manning their fantasy kicker spot.

Week 6 Prediction: 2/2 FG (1 30-39 yards, 1 50+ yards), 4 PATs; 12.00 fantasy Points
Verdict: He’ll Produce (If Given The Opportunity)
