Green Bay Packers: Five toughest games in 2016
3. Colts at home
Tipped as Super Bowl contenders before the start of the 2015 season, the Indianapolis Colts underachieved and failed to even reach the playoffs with a disappointing 8-8 record. A large reason for this was due to franchise quarterback Andrew Luck missing nine games through injury.
Luck didn’t exactly light it up in the games he did play, with the exception of his 252-yard, two-touchdown performance against Denver before getting hurt again. It was later revealed Luck was playing through a number of ailments which would explain his poor form early in the season.
When it’s all said and done and we look back over Luck’s time in Indianapolis, there’s every chance the 2015 season will be the exception rather than the rule. The Colts’ primary focus will be to improve their offensive line and allow Luck to do what he does best with a clean pocket.
In 2014, Luck threw for 4,761 yards and 40 touchdowns, and in all likelihood this is the Andrew Luck the Packers’ defense will be tasked with slowing down at Lambeau Field in 2016. This should be an excellent battle between two offenses set to bounce back from down years.
