Round #7
Arizona State. Lloyd Carrington. 246. player. 49.
The Packers secondary may be the strength of their team. They have a lot of young talent at the position, but with the potential loss of veteran Casey Hayward, the Packers could bring in another cornerback in the later rounds of the draft.
<div class=. Cornerback
I have Carrington rated as a fifth rounder, so getting him here at the end of the seventh is tremendous value. At ASU, he was a solid boundary corner who was physical in coverage. His feisty playing style also led to two interceptions, 11 pass breakups, and 112 tackles as a two-year starter in the Sun Devils defense.
The Packers could also draft a second inside linebacker here or another offensive tackle prospect like Wisconsin’s Tyler Marz.
