John Kuhn

John Kuhn began his NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but only spent a year there. He made his first appearance for the Packers in 2008 and has been a valuable asset on offense ever since.

Why he should re-sign: For the cost it will take to bring Kuhn back to Green Bay, his value is off the charts. Kuhn knows the offense as well as anyone and he can be used to block or to carry the football on short-yardage situations.

Kuhn is a leader in the locker room, has the trust of Rodgers is an excellent piece to have on offense. Eddie Lacy has benefited from having Kuhn blocking in front of him.

Why he should walk: Aaron Ripkowski was drafted for a reason, and that’s to be the heir to Kuhn’s throne. Kuhn won’t be around forever, and it’s time for Ripkowski to take over the starting job in year two.

Kuhn isn’t a high priority for the Packers and they might prefer to keep just one fullback out of the two. Ripkowski isn’t going anywhere, and he’s the future at the position for the Packers.
