Which Packers are re-signed?

OLB Nick Perry – 4 years/$23.6 million ($3.5 million cap hit)
K Mason Crosby – 4 years/$16 million ($2.5 million)
WR James Jones – 1 year/$885,000 ($600,000)
FB John Kuhn – 1 year/$885,000 ($600,000)
Total spent: $7.2 million

The Packers bring back four more players after already locking up Mike Daniels and Letroy Guion long term. Linebacker Nick Perry is brought back on a multi-year deal to help shore up the pass rush, but Mike Neal is allowed to walk. Perry is the more talented option and has higher upside if he can stay healthy.

Mason Crosby has already been re-signed, and his 2016 cap hit is predicted to be around $2.5 million which has been taken into account here.

James Jones and John Kuhn return on short-term, cheap deals with a chance to battle it out at training camp. Jones might not make the final roster if the young receivers are set, and Kuhn could be cut in favor of Aaron Ripkowski, but the second-year fullback must first show he’s ready to step up.

Casey Hayward’s contract could be too high for the Packers to bring him back.

Projected cap room after re-signings: $11.2 million
