Kenyan Drake, Alabama

The Packers may have missed out on Matt Forte, so why not take a running back with a similar style in Kenyan Drake? That’s not to say Drake will ever be on the same level as Forte, but he possesses many of the same skills. They have similar size: Forte is 6-foot-2, 218 pounds, Drake is 6-foot-1, 210 pounds.

One of Forte’s biggest strengths is his ability to help out in the passing game, and Drake can do the same. Starks has improved his production as a pass-catcher, but a player like Drake would give Aaron Rodgers another weapon to use which could help give the passing game another dimension.

Drake has good size and excellent speed, making him an explosive player who is tough to defend. He would form a potentially deadly tandem with Lacy and could turn a strong backfield into a great one. How difficult would it be for defenses to respect Rodgers and his receivers when the Packers have such a strong 1-2 punch?

On day two or three, Drake’s name is definitely one for the Packers to consider, and he could add a spark to the run game.
