2014: S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix

There was no bigger need in 2014 than at safety. Morgan Burnett needed a teammate to help solidify the defensive backfield after the struggles of M.D. Jennings in 2013. In the first-round, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to the Packers was a match made in heaven.

Clinton-Dix didn’t take long to help turn the Green Bay secondary into one of the team’s strengths, and he has been steadily improving his game since day one. The tandem of Clinton-Dix and Burnett is quickly becoming one of the best in the league. The two complement each other beautifully and have helped the rise of the Packers’ defense.

What’s exciting for Clinton-Dix is how well he’s performed in two years and how he can continue to build on this. Some of his best work has come in the playoffs, which is encouraging to see also. In four playoff games, the Alabama product has posted three interceptions and defended seven passes. His critical error on Seattle’s two-point conversion try in the NFC Championship Game was a rookie mistake… by a rookie.

He’s gone from strength to strength and has an exciting future in the green and gold.
