TE Hunter Henry, Arkansas

The need for a move tight end can’t be understated. Adding a talented pass-catcher who can stretch defenses vertically would dramatically transform the Packers offense. Mike McCarthy loves to utilize his tight ends but has been unable to do effectively since Jermichael Finley’s career-ending injury.

Enter Hunter Henry out of Arkansas.

Henry would give Aaron Rodgers a big threat capable of getting open downfield. He uses his big frame to make tough catches and he would also give the offense another red zone target. Henry has the speed and athleticism that Richard Rodgers lacks.

While his receiving talent gives plenty of reasons for the Packers to consider him in the first round, he can also help in run and pass blocking. Henry would be an upgrade on Rodgers in this department.

When looking at the tight ends in this year’s class, there aren’t many who would be able to help out as a pass-catcher and blocker right away, but Henry can. This is why many have a first-round grade on him, and why he has to be firmly on Ted Thompson’s radar.
