All-Time Green Bay Packers draft busts: Defense
1st Round (16) 2007
Going into the 2007 draft, the Packers had greater needs at running back and tight end along with lacking depth at the wide receiver and cornerback positions.
Yet Ted Thompson decided to get a big ole 315-pound defensive tackle – a defensive tackle who came with a laundry list of past injuries including back issues, shin splints, a sprained ankle, a broken ankle, a torn biceps and a broken leg.
Those injuries predictably multiplied at the next level and the Packers had no choice but to throw up their hands at this failed experiment by releasing the space eater in 2011.
