3. OLB Kamalei Correa, Boise State

What he would bring to Green Bay: Potential. Kamalei Correa is somewhat underrated but he has the look of one of the best pass rushers in the entire class. Correa has an explosive step and gives everything on every down he plays.

Correa is still raw as a pass rusher but there’s a very good chance he sneaks into the bottom of the first round. With his speed, explosiveness and athleticism, Correa is a player Dom Capers would love to plug in at outside linebacker and let loose.

Why the pick would make sense: As Denver proved en route to the Super Bowl last season, a suffocating pass rush is a formula that can take down the best offenses in the game. The Packers were strong getting after the quarterback last season (No. 7 with 43 sacks), but they need more consistent pressure, which is something head coach Mike McCarthy has stressed this offseason.

There is plenty of defensive tackle depth in this draft and there will be options on day two, but the Packers might not get another opportunity to snag another speed-rusher with Correa’s talent.
