LB T.J. Watt, Wisconsin

Ted Thompson may not need to look beyond Wisconsin to get linebacker help. T.J. Watt, brother of the Texans’ superstar pass rusher J.J., sits at the top of many Packers fans’ wish lists.

And for good reason. Watt flies off the snap and displays good hand usage in pursuit of the quarterback. While his eye-popping sack count (11.5 in 2016) takes center stage, Watt is also more than capable defending the run. I’m not particularly fond of the term “motor” when it comes to describing prospects, but like his brother, T.J. plays every down with an unparalleled intensity.

Watt is projected by many as a late-first to early-second guy, which would fit well with the Packers’ opening pick in April.

Green Bay will have options at No. 29, and there’s a good chance the Wisconsin Badger is among them. It’s hard to pass up on a talented prospect, who would not only help a position of need, but go all-in to become the best player possible.

Watt to Green Bay is an ideal fit for everyone involved, unless you’re a quarterback for the Vikings, Bears or Lions.
