Twitter has reacted to all of the Green Bay Packers’ selections on the final day of the 2017 NFL Draft.
With their first pick of the day, the Packers selected Wisconsin linebacker Vince Biegel. The hometown man received plenty of praise.
Are you pleased with the Vince Biegel selection, #Packers fans?
— Lombardi Ave (@lombardiave) April 29, 2017
Biegel’s pick made it four-from-four on defense after Green Bay’s trio of Day 3 selections. The Packers continue to get faster and more athletic on defense, and the Wisconsin Badger is an excellent addition to Dom Capers’ defense.
Whether he plays at inside or outside linebacker, the unit just gained a talented piece they so desperately needed.
Instead of taking T.J. Watt, Green Bay traded down. With the picks they received, Ted Thompson selected Kevin King and Vince Biegel. Not bad at all.
With his second selection in the fourth round, Thompson added Jamaal Williams, running back from BYU. There’s a lot to like about Williams’ game. He is excellent adding yards after contact, and he could form a nice pairing with the versatile Ty Montgomery. All in all, it looks to be a solid fourth-round for the Pack.
That’s not the only back Ted would go on to draft. He also added Aaron Jones of UTEP in the fifth round. Sticking with offense, another selection was wide receiver DeAngelo Yancey, also in the fifth.
Here’s some of the best reactions to the Packers’ Day 3 selections from Twitter.

Jamaal Williams: 6-foot, 212 pounds. He ran a 4.59-second 40. A power runner to complement #Packers versatile RB Ty Montgomery.

Highsmith on what #Packers DC Dom Capers thinks of the draft so far: "I'm pretty sure when he saw the 4.40s and 4.39s, he was fired up."

#Packers take Utah State RB Devante Mays at No. 238 overall. Dominant as a junior. Had a pre-draft visit with GB. Three RBs!
— Zach Kruse (@zachkruse2) April 29, 2017
Aaron Jones three-cone time: 6.82 seconds. Thought height mattered to Green Bay. Doesn't seem to be the case. He's good, folks.

The #Packers get an absolute steal at No. 134 overall, BYU's Jamaal Williams. Here's his story... https://t.co/DTf7WW8P6b
— Tyler Dunne (@TyDunne) April 29, 2017
Could of picked him at 134 . Had to take a back at 108
— packerfan21 (@scoolout) April 29, 2017
I know nothing about DeAngelo Yancey, but he caught 49 passes for 951 yards as senior last season. That's a 19.4-yard average. So, vertical.

Excellent pick, Excellent draft for the Packers #GoPackGo #NFLDraft
— Fede Brenes (@Federico_Brenes) April 29, 2017
#Packers trade back on Thursday night, get No. 108 but miss out on T.J. Watt. Then use No. 108 on Vince Biegel. Amazing.
— Zach Kruse (@zachkruse2) April 29, 2017
I've said this before, but if there is a Jordan Howard in this class, I think it's RB Jamaal Williams. Can make an immediate impact #Packers
— Dane Brugler (@dpbrugler) April 29, 2017
Looks like Ty Montgomery won't be the only converted WR in the #Packers backfield. Aaron Jones played slot WR in high school.
— Ralph Mancini (@ReverendRalph) April 29, 2017
DeAngelo Yancey said he did a Lambeau Leap during his pre-draft visit with the #Packers
— Wes Hodkiewicz (@WesHod) April 29, 2017
#Packers executive Alonzo Highsmith on Vince Biegel: "He checks all the boxes as a football player."
— Ryan Wood (@ByRyanWood) April 29, 2017
VINCE. BIEGEL. A+++++++++++. #Packers
— Michelle Bruton (@MichelleBruton) April 29, 2017
I like him! Kid can rack up the yards after contact. Lots of fight.
— Lacey (she/her) (@pigskinandlace) April 29, 2017
I'm a fan of the Packers Day 3. Upside in DeAngelo Yancey and Aaron Jones, plus Biegel early. That's how you build cheap, efficient depth
— Ian (@NFLFilmStudy) April 29, 2017
Kofi Amichia has the measurables Ted Thompson loves. Ran a 40 under 5 seconds & put up a 33.5 vertical. Great #s 4 a guy that big.#Packers
— Ralph Mancini (@ReverendRalph) April 29, 2017
Jamaal Williams won't blow anyone away with speed, but he's a solid runner who can pass protect. Packers have their Montgomery compliment.
— Jason B. Hirschhorn (@by_JBH) April 29, 2017
Jamaal Williams, love it. Might be the best senior running back.
— Brian Carriveau (@BrianCarriveau) April 29, 2017
#Packers select BYU RB Jamaal Williams at No. 134. Size GB needs in backfield and - most importantly - he doesn't f u m b l e!
— Michelle Bruton (@MichelleBruton) April 29, 2017
New #Packers WR DeAngelo Yancey had 4 touchdowns over 60 yards in 2016. Had a 6-game stretch where he produced 6 plays over 50 yards.
— Zach Kruse (@zachkruse2) April 29, 2017
Jamaal Williams to the Packers. That's my guy. Rick Watters type versatility and can pass protect.
— Matt Waldman (@MattWaldman) April 29, 2017
