Michael Clark

The converted basketball player would be the first to admit that he’s extremely raw and in need of development, but Clark has accomplished quite a bit over the past two weeks nevertheless.

The 6-foot-6 excels at using his big body to outleap smaller defenders on high throws and came through at the end of Thursday’s contest by successfully converting a 7-yard back-shoulder fade into six points.

But as great as he’s looked at times, there’s no masking the fact that Clark has essentially two years of football experience under his belt.

Look for Clark to be placed on the practice squad where he’ll have an opportunity to refine the technical parts of his game, such as spacing and beating one-on-one coverage with suddenness and proper footwork.

Odds of making the squad: 15 percent

Montay Crockett

The undrafted rookie from Georgia Southern with 4.28 speed is competing for a spot on the practice squad. He made his presence felt by hauling in a 12-yard toss on his only target Thursday night.

Crockett is also well-versed in returning kickoffs and punts, so don’t be surprised to see him used in that capacity in the next two games.

Odds of making the squad: 5 percent

Colby Pearson

The 6-foot wideout was a late addition to the roster. The former BYU standout’s 4.37 40 time at a private workout was enough for the Packers to kick the tires on the young hopeful.
