5. Randall redeemed…sort of

Beleaguered cover man Damarious Randall bounced back from his infamous Week 4 benching by converting a fourth-quarter interception into a pick six in his team’s blood-tingling comeback.

On the Cowboys’ miscue, Randall displayed excellent awareness in collecting a Dak Prescott pass that ricocheted off the hands of Terrance Williams before sauntering into the end zone untouched.

No. 23 also contributed to his team’s cause by deflecting an underthrown ball headed to Williams that could have resulted in a big play had Prescott launched a better pass.

It wasn’t all wine and roses for the third-year defender, however, as he was victimized on an earlier 10-yard touchdown reception by Dez Bryant, but his overall performance was a step in the direction.

It also should be noted that Randall’s theatrics after cashing in on his interception were in poor taste.

For those in need of a refresher, the young defensive back taunted Prescott by throwing the ball in his direction and then flashed Dez Bryant’s trademark “X” sign.

Randall earned his team a 15-yard penalty with his actions in a game that was still very much in question.

It’s not that he restrain himself from ever celebrating big plays, but the former first round pick should exercise better judgement in terms of picking better spots to let loose.
