Green Bay Packers: 7-round mock draft entering offseason
By Evan Siegel
Round 6 (Pick 174): Johnathan Abram, S, Mississippi State
Johnathan Abram is a sleeper in this coming year’s draft. The 6-foot safety is similar to Josh Jones in that he is always around the ball and displays enough size to be a hammer on the back end. Abram’s main contribution to the Bulldogs defense was being a sturdy run defender, as he amassed 62 tackles over the course of the year.
The Packers desperately need to add depth to their safety position and insurance in case Jones flops. Jones had some promising moments in his rookie year, including a banner day against the Bengals in Week 3. But with Morgan Burnett potentially gone and Kentrell Brice often injured, the Packers need a durable safety who can help them against the run.
Round 7 (Pick 206): Cole Madison, OT, Washington State
Cole Madison was solid for Washington State in 2017. The Packers would be happy to get their hands on a late round offensive lineman to help shore up their porous depth at the position that has been lacking for far too long.

Jason Spriggs has been a disaster, and Kyle Murphy is too often injured. With Bryan Bulaga‘s long-term status with the team up in the air, Green Bay should pick up a tackle and give one to the offensive line for the road.
