Packers News: New defensive coordinator Mike Pettine praised by Rex Ryan

Rex Ryan had high praise for new Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Mike Pettine.

Ryan spent a number of years working with Mike Pettine, and believes Packers fans should be excited about his arrival.

Ryan even said Pettine will be “the best coordinator in the league”. You can find the full story by ESPN’s Rob Demovsky here.

Many were disappointed Vic Fangio wasn’t the chosen one to replace Dom Capers. But it appears that decision was out of Mike McCarthy’s hands. New Bears head coach Matt Nagy has been busy hiring his staff, and he quickly made it clear he wanted Fangio back in Chicago.

But there’s reason to be optimistic about Pettine’s arrival in Green Bay.
