Remember when Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb formed one of the league’s top receiver pairings? Yeah, those days are long gone. And the Packers need to move forward with Davante Adams as the team’s top pass catcher.
That doesn’t mean Nelson and Cobb won’t have roles next year, but the Packers should make it a priority to add more receiving talent to the roster.
Nelson’s future is in doubt. He turns 33 in May and looked to have lost a step this year. Even if the veteran regains his chemistry with Aaron Rodgers, it’s hard to imagine he re-signs with the Packers when his contract expires next offseason.

Cobb may need to restructure his deal to stick around, but he still offers plenty of value in the slot.
What the Packers need to find is another boundary receiver to complement Adams. Green Bay lacks a legitimate deep threat. The team’s speedsters — Trevor Davis and Jeff Janis — work almost exclusively on special teams.
Nelson used to be a go-to target on deep shots, but he’s become more of a possession receiver in the latter stages of his career.
Wide receiver doesn’t need to be a Day 1 draft priority, but it’s an area Gutekunst needs to strengthen. Urgency: High
