The latest NFL Spin Zone two-round mock draft has the Green Bay Packers landing a top pass rusher and guard.

Randy Gurzi of NFL Spin Zone predicts the Green Bay Packers will use the No. 14 pick in April’s draft to select talented edge rusher Marcus Davenport out of UTSA.

In the second round, he has the Packers adding offensive guard Isaiah Wynn from Georgia.

Finding an upgrade to the pass rush is crucial for the defense to make significant improvements under new defensive coordinator Mike Pettine.

If you struggle to rush the passer, life becomes difficult against top-tier quarterbacks in the playoffs.

Here’s what Randy Gurzi wrote about Davenport, the Packers’ pick at No. 14:

"“In short, the Green Bay Packers could use some help at their outside linebacker position. That’s what leads them to look at Marcus Davenport from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Our first small-school prospect comes off the board, but the Packers won’t be getting small production.”"

NFL.com draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah thinks highly of Davenport, and ranks him as the 10th best prospect entering the 2018 NFL Draft.

If he falls to the Packers at No. 14, Davenport could be too difficult to pass up for new general manager Brian Gutekunst. Not only would selecting him help address one of the team’s biggest needs, but he could also be the best overall prospect remaining on the board.

Gurzi believes Wynn, a left tackle in college, projects best as a guard in the NFL. Jeremiah agreed in his assessment of Wynn, who he has ranked as the 37th best prospect entering the draft.

Guard might not seem like a particularly big need currently, but that could quickly change. Jahri Evans is a free agent, and it remains to be seen whether Lucas Patrick of Justin McCray will be ready to take on the job full-time.

If Evans doesn’t return for another season, the Packers will at the very least need to add more depth along the offensive line. Wynn could become a longtime starter.
