What could edge rusher Marcus Davenport bring to the Green Bay Packers’ defense? That and more in Sunday’s Packers News Report.

Good morning and welcome to the Packers News Report.

It’s the first football-less Sunday since August, but the world of the Green Bay Packers keeps on spinning into the offseason. And despite how disappointing the season was, none of that matters now. Sure, the Vikings won the NFC North. But outside of the Eagles, no team is satisfied.

Under new general manager Brian Gutekunst, Green Bay has an opportunity to start fresh this offseason. With a more aggressive approach to free agency, the 14th overall pick in April’s draft and a shakeup to the coaching staff, change is in the air. And the fun is just getting started.

What do you think the team must make a priority this offseason? Finding a premier pass rusher? A shutdown cornerback? More young talent at wide receiver? Tight end? Depth along the offensive line? What is the area Gutekunst must focus on the most?

Giving new defensive coordinator Mike Pettine plenty of talent to work with is key.

Let’s dive into Sunday’s Packers News Report.
