Green Bay Packers: Full 2018 preseason schedule
The Green Bay Packers’ preseason schedule has been announced.
The Packers will meet the Titans, Steelers, Raiders and Chiefs in August. They won’t play any of these teams in the regular season.
The NFL schedule release has become a fun part of the offseason. Just a couple of weeks away from the 2018 NFL Draft, we now know who Green Bay will meet in the preseason. The regular season schedule usually follows a week later.
Here is the Packers’ full preseason schedule, according to the team’s official website:
August 9-13: Tennessee Titans
August 16-20: Pittsburgh Steelers
August 23-26: at Oakland Raiders
August 30-31: at Kansas City Chiefs
The exact dates and times will be announced at a later date.
It would have been ideal to play the final preseason game at Lambeau Field.
Green Bay will get the chance to play against Jordy Nelson and Morgan Burnett, who are now with the Oakland Raiders and Pittsburgh Steelers respectively. Those games should be fun.
Many believe the preseason should be cut short. The starters won’t see much action during this four-week stretch in order to protect against injury. Instead the exhibition games are used to determine which members on the bubble of the roster land a spot on the final 53-man roster.
New general manager Brian Gutekunst has a lot of work to do between now and the preseason opener in August. How different will the Packers’ defense look by then? Will Aaron Rodgers have a new wide receiver or two he’ll need to build chemistry with?
Many of these questions will be answered in the draft two weeks from now.

Stay tuned.
