Packers News: Worst draft decisions; latest fantasy mock
The latest fantasy football mock draft, a discussion on the Green Bay Packers’ real-life draft, and more in Sunday’s Packers News Report.
Good morning and welcome to the Packers News Report for Sunday, May 13. The Green Bay Packers’ first regular season game is exactly 17 weeks away.
And the next 17 weeks are important for the entire team. Most of the offseason changes have now been made. Mike McCarthy reshuffled his coaching staff. Ted Thompson was replaced by Brian Gutekunst as the general manager. And Gutekunst made some big decisions, such as releasing Jordy Nelson and signing free agents Jimmy Graham and Muhammad Wilkerson.
It’s still possible Gutekunst looks to add another free agent or two before the new season kicks off. But the majority of the roster building has been done. It’s now important for the new additions, including the 11 draft picks and more undrafted free agents, to make the transition to the NFL.
Up next comes OTAs. Then mandatory minicamp and finally training camp. The next 17 weeks are going to be huge for the entire team.
Let’s get started with Sunday’s Packers News Report.
