Week 2: vs. Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings have taken over as the top team in the NFC North.

Last year, the Vikings swept the Packers while shutting them out at Lambeau to end the season. The first meeting resulted in Rodgers being injured on a controversial hit.

Minnesota’s offense went through a little bit of a makeover this offseason. The team committed $84 million to quarterback Kirk Cousins, ending Teddy Bridgewater’s Vikings career.

Rodgers has had this game circled since his season ended.

Revenge Rodgers is the best Rodgers. Coming off his last injured season, he threw for 4,381 yards and 38 touchdowns with only five interceptions, resulting in his second MVP award.

The result in this game will be dependent on how the defense adjusts to the new regime. Week 2 will determine how fans view Mike Pettine’s scheme. The biggest issue, last year, was their ability to get off the field on third down.

The good news is, with Cousins, the Washington Redskins ranked 26th in third-down conversions last season by completing 32.4 percent.

Unsurprisingly, the keys to the game will be third down defense, winning the field position game and keeping the offense on the field.

In conclusion, the Packers will get their revenge on the Vikings.

Prediction: Packers 20, Vikings 17 (2-0)
