Kentrell Brice, S

Brice is an intriguing player currently on the Green Bay Packers roster. He’s another safety who can play at linebacker. Morgan Burnett and Josh Jones played the majority of the safety/linebacker hybrid last year. Now, Brice will be playing a good amount of snaps at the two positions with Morgan Burnett gone.

Even with Jones and Burnett in front of him on the depth chart, Brice did get a good amount of playing time in 2017. He played in 95 percent of defensive snaps in three of the six games he played in, per Pro Football Reference.

The problem with Brice is he only played in six games last year. An ankle injury ended his season in late October. He will be ready to go for the 2018 season.

Coach McCarthy had high praise for Brice earlier this offseason. He expects Brice to compete for a starting job in 2018.

Clearly, he is going to be a huge part of the defense going forward. His versatility will allow him to be on the field for a good majority of games. He just has to stay healthy.

Brice is an easy candidate for a breakout season in 2018. Being versatile will be huge for the amount of playing time he will get.
