Green Bay Packers outside linebacker Clay Matthews suffered a broken nose at a charity softball game on Saturday.

Good morning and welcome to the Packers News Report for Sunday, June 3. It’s another football-less Sunday, but we’re one closer to the start of the regular season. The Green Bay Packers’ season opener against the Chicago Bears is now just 14 weeks away.

The biggest news story today features the team’s top pass rusher, Clay Matthews.

Taking part in a charity softball game, Matthews suffered a broken collarbone, as reported by Rob Demovsky of ESPN.

Luckily, Matthews is OK. He tweeted an update on Saturday.

We won’t post the video of the injury here, but it was a scary moment. Thankfully Matthews isn’t seriously hurt, although I’m sure it feels that way right about now. Speedy recovery, #52.
