The 2018 NFL season is almost here.
Training camp is beginning around the league — the Green Bay Packers get started this Thursday. Each team has a number of tough roster decisions to make at camp. For the Packers, the top positional battles include backup quarterback, wide receiver, right guard and right tackle.
Aaron Rodgers is fully healthy, and that makes the Packers contenders for another championship. But how does the roster compare to the other teams in the NFL?
Last season proved just how important Rodgers is to the Packers. Without him for half the year, Green Bay lost nine games, finishing with its first losing record since 2008, which was the same season it last failed to reach the playoffs.
If Rodgers misses time again this year, the Packers won’t be in Super Bowl contention. But new general manager Brian Gutekunst has tried to fix some of the weaknesses on the roster that could have made a difference last season.
