12. Carolina Panthers

The first of three NFC South teams inside the top 12 of these rankings. In a competitive division, Cam Newton might need to be at his MVP-best for the Panthers to finish first. Their offense should be a lot of fun to watch.

11. Houston Texans

Deshaun Watson was playing so well last season before a torn ACL cost him the remainder of his rookie year. The good news, according to Kevin Patra of NFL.com, is that Watson expects to be ready to go at training camp. He’s one of the most fun quarterbacks to watch in the NFL. He was fearless last year, and his ability to run makes him tough to defend. Houston has a talented roster, and if Watson is healthy, the Texans will be tough to beat.

10. Los Angeles Chargers

I love this Chargers roster. This could be the year where it all comes together. Losing Hunter Henry for the season is bad news, but Los Angeles still has a lot of talent on offense. Finally healthy, Keenan Allen showed that he’s a superstar wide receiver. Melvin Gordon has posted a combined 2,102 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns over the past two years. First-round pick Derwin James is an excellent addition to the secondary. The Chargers are a team to watch in 2018.

9. Pittsburgh Steelers

It may be Le’Veon Bell‘s final season in Pittsburgh, but as long he’s playing the Steelers will have one of the league’s top offenses. Once again, they will be favorites to win the AFC North, but is the defense good enough for the Steelers to go all the way?
