One of the best pieces of news to come out of the first week of training camp was to do with Bryan Bulaga. Mike McCarthy made it clear he expects Bulaga to be ready for Week 1 in a report by Rob Demovsky of ESPN.

This was backed up by Ryan Wood of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, who gave more detail about Bulaga’s work at camp so far:

"“The ninth-year right tackle has spent most of his first week in camp doing footwork drills in a far corner at Ray Nitschke Field. Off to the side Tuesday, Bulaga worked on his back step and did high-sidestep drills while wearing a brace over his surgically repaired right knee.”"

If Bulaga is healthy for the season opener, it’ll end any questions about the right tackle position.

With David Bakhtiari at left tackle, Lane Taylor at left guard, Corey Linsley at center, Justin McCray at right guard and Bulaga at right tackle, the Packers have a strong offensive line when fully healthy.

Kyle Murphy, Jason Spriggs and Lucas Patrick will compete for starting spots at camp, especially if Bulaga isn’t ready for Week 1, but they will likely make the 53-man roster as reserves.
