Rookie wide receivers may have the biggest competition to land on the Packers’ 53-man roster this year. There certainly are plenty of them to go around considering Green Bay selected three receivers in the draft this past April.

The Packers addressed defensive issues during the first three rounds before taking J’Mon Moore in the fourth round of the draft. Moore had a great senior year, posting 1,082 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns, but his time in Green Bay has been slightly underwhelming so far.

Dropped passes have been a curse that hovers over the young wideout. Competition weighs heavy on all the new athletes as the 26-year-old free agent Jake Kumerow has been the star of the preseason. But Kumerow could miss the rest of the preseason with a shoulder injury.

Now is the perfect time for Moore to make a mark with a big play and lift his curse and land himself a roster spot on the team. Tough competition awaits Moore before the offseason comes to a close. Davante Adams, Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison have their positions locked up tight. There is very little room left to fit more players, which only makes the pressure to stand out among the rest of the crowd more important.
