Packers: Five players to watch in third preseason game against Raiders
5. Lance Kendricks
The Green Bay Packers have a fully loaded roster at the tight end position. Green Bay signed and let go of Martellus Bennett last year, and doubled down with two more veterans tight ends during this past offseason: Jimmy Graham and Marcedes Lewis. Graham and Lewis bring a lot to the table between their talent and experience in the NFL.
Lance Kendricks is the youngest out of the three veteran tight ends at 30 years old. He still plays an essential role when it comes to blocking and receiving.

Jimmy Graham is anticipated as the hot target when it comes to the red zone, but Kendricks’ role is still important to the offense when it comes to creating separation.
Route running and using his size to force mismatches on defense will be the key things to look out for when Kendricks is on the field. He has tough competition ahead as the young Robert Tonyan has caught the eyes of fans and Green Bay coaches. Tonyan had three catches for 20 yards and a touchdown against the Steelers last week.
Making cuts is never an easy decision, especially with so many great players to choose from.
