Week 12, at Vikings: Loss

By Week 12 of the season, the murmurs begin fluttering about who is making the playoffs. Green Bay can get their victory at home, and Minnesota will respond in the same way. By this point in the season, both teams will have a very similar record (the Packers 8-2). Every game becomes more crucial moving forward as January steadily approaches.

The circumstances are simple between the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings: whoever is playing at home has the advantage.

It’s not impossible for the Packers to scrape by with a win in U.S. Bank Stadium. Green Bay has been able to defy the odds among divisional opponents in the past. Detroit underestimated Rodgers’ arm strength that famously became the Miracle in Motown and added yet one more play towards his legacy.

The Vikings know a thing or two about creating magic while at home. Last year the Minnesota Miracle allowed the Vikings to advance to the NFC Championship Game. Assuming that divine intervention doesn’t affect the outcome of the game, the gjallarhorn will certainly be blaring for the Skol crowd. Mike Zimmer has built an outstanding team and deserves a tip of the cap towards the success he provides in Minnesota.
