Packers: Predictions, complete breakdown of every game on schedule
Week 17, vs. Lions: Win
The Lions are going to have one goal in mind for the last game of the season: make sure Green Bay doesn’t make the playoffs. Of course, the Packers will naturally refute Detroit’s efforts and play their hardest to make sure they secure a seat in the postseason once again.
Green Bay will need to win this game to have any chance of winning the division. The Minnesota Vikings are a good enough team that they will be at a similar record at the end of the season. If the predictions are correct, it proves that the Packers will need to get home field advantage in the playoffs to help their success. Not only for the Vikings but for the Rams as well. A Los Angeles team coming to Green Bay in January is a recipe for disaster.
The Lions will fight tooth and nail to make sure the Packers get one more loss on their record. Cheeseheads won’t need to worry too much about the Lions considering they have a very bad track record when playing in Lambeau Field. Since 1991, the Detroit Lions have recorded only two wins playing in the Frozen Tundra.
The Packers will end the regular season with a 12-4 record. Even with a minimal four losses, that still might not be enough for a one or two seed in the playoffs. The season will be insanely competitive in the NFC, which makes every win more triumphant and every loss that much more devastating.
