Week 3, at Redskins: Win

The Packers’ first away game will seem like a breath of fresh air after a tough match against the Vikings. Make no mistake, though, the Washington Redskins are not just an easy pushover. They have some great defensive talent in the secondary that is massively underrated. Josh Norman is their key player to watch out for; a player much less talked about ever since leaving the Carolina Panthers in 2015.

Washington has been extremely unfortunate being riddled with injuries before the season even started. First-round pick Derrius Guice suffered a torn ACL and is out for the season, making his NFL debut delayed for one more year. Chris Thompson and Samaje Perine also have sustained injuries during the preseason, which has made the depth in running backs very thin. Washington’s solution was to sign Adrian Peterson, a very familiar face among the Green Bay faithful.

Alex Smith and Peterson have enough talent to be successful for Washington. Unfortunately for Smith, the wide receivers are nothing to be impressed about and Peterson is well past his prime. The Packers will be able to coast by with a win, even if it may look a little bumpy to get to the end of the fourth quarter.
