1. Randall Cobb shows why he’s so important to offense

After all of the talk of Randall Cobb being cut or traded throughout the offseason, he stepped up with a huge performance on Sunday night, showing just how valuable he is to the Packers offense.

Cobb finished the night with nine catches for 142 yards and a touchdown, including the incredible 75-yard, game-winning score. On that play the offensive line held up, Rodgers kept the play alive and Cobb was able to get free and make the catch. The rest was history.

Cobb might not post 100 yards every week or finish the season with double-digit touchdowns, but he doesn’t need to. He’s a key part of the Packers offense and proved it again on Sunday night.

So often, Cobb saves his biggest games for when it matters most. Think back to his three-touchdown performance against the Giants in the wild-card round two years ago. Or his game-winning, playoff-clinching touchdown on fourth down against the Bears back in 2013.

The Packers desperately needed their receivers to step up in the second half. And the trio of Cobb, Davante Adams and Geronimo Allison all delivered.

It’s fair to say the talk of trading Cobb can (hopefully) finally stop. He has a great connection with Rodgers, and is a key part of Green Bay’s offense.
