1. Play with a sense of urgency and energy

The Packers have started most games flat and can’t seem to sustain any energy till they are down multiple scores. It wasn’t until this past week the Packers played with any kind of urgency in the first half.

The defense has been giving up a lot of points in the first half of games. That has been a damper on this team. But where is the up-tempo offense? Where has the no-huddle been?

The Packers coming out and treating the opening drive like it’s the last two minutes of the half used to happen with regularity for this team to get them going. There has been very little of that.

The offense isn’t the only unit to blame. The defense needs to come out and play with a little more passion and urgency. Treat the opening drive like it’s the stop you need in the fourth quarter.

Mike Daniels and Blake Martinez need a few more partners in crime when it comes to hype men (swagger). The defense may have this in Jaire Alexander, but he’s been hurt.

The defense needs a spark plug. Someone like what Clay Matthews used to be. A high energy guy whose play inspired the defense and could turn the tides with one play.

I’m not sure that guy is on the roster, but someone needs to start acting like that guy. A vocal leader to fire up the defense and bring some intensity.
