Green Bay Packers: Grades for free agency signings

Grading the Green Bay Packers’ free agency signings so far.
Getting closer to the weekend, there’s been more action in 2019’s free agency period in Green Bay than there has been in nearly a decade. You can’t please everybody, but the way Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst spent Tuesday morning and afternoon signing checks and making moves, it’s a fair assumption to say the majority of Packers fans are happy with his decisions.
Common gripes among Packers fans throughout 2018 were that the defense didn’t get enough pressure, cover well enough, or make the stops on third down. Another complaint was that Aaron Rodgers couldn’t remain upright, largely due to the abysmal play of the interior offensive linemen.
Brian was watching. “Gutey” was listening.
But the new Packers GM knows that a team isn’t built with one splash signing. Or at least, he’s learned it since last year, considering the result of signing Jimmy Graham.

Let’s take a look at each signing, and quantify each with a letter grade.
